What this site is
The calculator shows the cost of an amount of gas and electricity at the rates in Ofgem's price cap, using figures Ofgem publishes. It is for general information. It isn't financial, energy or switching advice.
Accuracy
We take the rates from Ofgem and check them regularly, and the page shows the date of the last check. We can still make mistakes or lag behind a new announcement. The official figures are Ofgem's. If our figures and Ofgem's differ, Ofgem's apply. Your bill depends on your tariff and your actual usage and may differ from this estimate.
No connection to Ofgem or suppliers
Esmero Labs is not part of, endorsed by, or acting for Ofgem or any energy supplier.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site may earn us a commission. They are labelled "affiliate link" next to the link. We choose what to show for its relevance to the page, and a commission does not change the figures we calculate.
Third-party sites
When you follow a link to another site, its terms and privacy policy apply, not ours. We aren't responsible for what it publishes or offers.
Liability
We provide the calculator as it is. We aren't liable for decisions you make based on it, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here limits any right you have that can't be limited by law.
Changes
We may change the calculator or these terms. The date at the top shows the last update.
