The short version
We don't collect personal data through this calculator. We don't ask you to register, and the figures you enter are not sent to us or stored.
What you enter
The region, payment method and kWh figures you type into the calculator are used in your browser to work out the result. They aren't sent to our servers, saved in cookies or local storage, or linked to you.
Visit statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and doesn't build a profile of you. It reports things like the number of page views, the pages viewed, the country, the type of device and browser, and the site you came from. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf. You can read how in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Server logs
Our pages are served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the page and keep the service secure. We don't use that data to identify you.
Cookies
This site doesn't set cookies of its own. If that changes, for example if we add advertising, we'll ask for your consent first where the law requires it, and update this page.
Affiliate links
Some pages may include links to energy comparison or switching sites. These links are marked "affiliate link". If you click one and complete a switch, the other site may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra and does not change the figures we show. Once you click, you leave our site, and the other site's own privacy policy and cookies apply. We don't receive your name, address or any details you give them; we only receive a report that a switch happened, without information about who made it.
Your rights
Because we don't hold personal data about you, there's usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you think we do hold something, write to us and we'll check. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
